Bem Asare

Managing Director

Founder and director of B.A Academy, passionate about improving the next generations education. Bem has been managing the company for over 6 years and is excited to expand to more schools and bring more opportunities to young people.

Martyn Box

Business Development Associate & Head Coach

Martyn is a qualified Level 2 football coach and he intends to complete his UEFA B course when the opportunity comes around. Martyn already has some coaching experience under his belt, managing a number of different teams ranging between 8-16. Martyn also used to play football for Brighton Academy from the age of 9 to 16 where he then went on to sign his first professional contract at Barnet Fc aged 16.

Brighton

Peter

Peter has worked for B.A for just over a. year and a half and is one of our most experienced coaches in the south. Peter helps deliver daily PE lessons and after-school clubs. Away from teaching, Peter enjoys playing football and hockey. When not playing sports, he loves watching a wide variety of sports, both live and on TV. Not only do people love his sports, but he also likes playing tabletop games.

Katie

Katie is a passionate and bubbly individual who currently works as a teaching assistant in an infant school. She also holds a unique qualification which is a level 4 diploma in teaching Street Dance with over 10 years of experience coaching a competition crew and teaching classes at Brighton’s ‘Streetfunk’. Katie has competed in Street Dance competitions all around the world including the world championship held in Las Vegas.

Isabelle

Isabella chose performing arts because there is nothing quite like the pure love and connection it ignites, especially with the audience. For her, being on stage feels like sharing a piece of her heart, and seeing that resonate with people in the crowd is beyond special. Whether she’s singing, acting, or dancing, the energy and emotions exchanged create an incredible bond. The shared moments, the laughter, the tears—it’s like a conversation without words. Isabella chose performing arts because it’s a magical way of spreading love, making connections, and leaving a piece of joy in the hearts of those who watch.

Cerys

Cerys really enjoys her time working with B.A as she gets to share her love of sport with the children, she enjoys learning and growing as a coach while also supporting the children’s needs.

Maria

Growing up in Brighton, Maria began training in Cecchetti classical ballet at the Beacon Arts. As a teenager, she competed and participated in many Contemporary dance youth groups including Penny and Jules Youth. After her college education at Sussex Downs College, she went on to further her training at NSCD in Leeds for a foundation year before moving on to completing her Degree in Contemporary Dance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London. Whilst studying she worked with choreographers including Alison Curtis – Jones and Zoi Dimitriou. Maria bases her classes on the fundamentals of Ballet and Contemporary whilst giving the space for her students to be expressive and explorative with a large emphasis on and love for music.

Harry

Harry is currently studying at the University of Sussex. His passions are football and running. Harry has enjoyed sharing his love of sports in various coaching roles and is motivated by teaching children new skills and watching their confidence grow.

Mina

Mina is a dancer and trained at the Brighton Academy. Mina has been dancing since the very young age of two and a half and loves anything related to performing arts.

Lucy

Lucy is a singing teacher with a Theatre Degree and Musical Theatre Training accredited by London College of Music. She brings her experience and enthusiasm into her sessions with fun, technique building exercises and activities. Lucy loves seeing the children under her care grow in skill and confidence both on and off the stage.

Manchester

Hyaat

Growing up with younger cousins and having worked in different nurseries and holiday clubs for the past 8 years. Hyatt is very passionate about working with children and it is something she finds very rewarding. Teaching French and Spanish at B.A has been the perfect role for Hyaat and it is a privilege to be able to develop close bonds with the children while also being part of their language-learning journey.

Nada

Nada has over 9 years of experience teaching French as a foreign language at KS2 and KS3 levels. She is very passionate about modern teaching methods, using interactive games and crafts to make learning French enjoyable and engaging for students. Also a tutor for KS2 and KS3.
